Buw is built privacy-first. It runs entirely on your Mac and never sends your data to us or any third party. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. We don't have servers that store your information, because we don't collect any.
What Buw stores
Your focus sessions, statistics, preferences, tags, and unlocked transformations are stored locally on your device. That's all data you create by using the app — we never see it.
iCloud sync
If you're signed into iCloud, Buw uses Apple's iCloud (Key-Value Storage and CloudKit) to sync your sessions, settings and collection across your own devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it and it is never shared with us. You can turn iCloud off in System Settings.
Purchases
Buw Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple — we never receive your name, payment details, or any personal information. Buw only learns whether a valid purchase exists, via Apple's on-device StoreKit.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, they are scheduled locally on your Mac to let you know when a session ends. No notification data leaves your device.
Children
Buw does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. Since Buw doesn't collect data, changes will generally only clarify wording.
